T20I series: West Indies made four changes

T20I series: Compared to the squad selected for the last series against Australia, West Indies has made 4 changes this time against Pakistan. Fast bowler Shamar Joseph as well as batsmen Keesy Carty, Alick Athanaze and Johnson Charles have been included in the squad in place of Alzari Joseph, Evin Lewis, Brendon King and Shimron Hetmyer respectively.

Alzari Joseph has been rested from the T20 series against Pakistan so that he can manage his workload. Joseph has been playing continuously for some time and due to this he has been given rest in view of the busy schedule ahead. At the same time, Lewis has been ruled out of the series due to injury and will return home for monitoring before the ODI series.

While both Hetmyer and King suffered a muscle strain in the fifth and final T20 International against Australia in St Kitts, due to which Hetmyer was ruled out of the series, while King’s availability for the 50-over phase is still being assessed, which will start in Trinidad on August 8. Both these batsmen will definitely be missed by the West Indies in the T20 series.
