Sai Sudharsan On Rishabh Pant Injury: The fourth Test against England in Manchester started on Wednesday, the first day of which was a mixed one for India. However, the biggest concern for the team was the injury of wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant, who got injured after being hit by a ball on the right leg while batting.

After this, he was seen in a lot of pain and then taken out of the field with the help of an ambulance. After the first day’s play, Indian batsman Sai Sudharsan gave an update on Pant’s injury and also told how the team will fill his gap if Rishabh is not fit to bat.

In fact, during India’s first innings, Rishabh Pant was batting very well and had scored 37 runs in 48 balls. Then in the 68th over of the innings, on the fourth ball of Chris Woakes, he tried to reverse sweep but the ball took the inside edge of the bat and hit his right shoe. England made a strong appeal and also resorted to a review but Rishabh was saved.

However, Pant looked in a lot of trouble due to the ball hitting him and also took the help of the physio. When the physio removed the shoe, blood was seen on the sock and then after removing it, it was found that his foot had also swollen a lot. After this, he was taken out in an ambulance. After the day’s play ended, Sudarshan told about Pant that his scan is going on in the hospital.

Sai Sudharsan expressed confidence in the rest of the batsmen

After the first day’s play of the Manchester Test, Sai Sudarshan, who came to the press conference, said:

“He was definitely in a lot of pain, he has gone for a scan. We will get information overnight, maybe tomorrow. Clearly, he will be a big loss, because today he was playing really well and we will also be missing a batsman. If he does not come back, it will definitely be a blow. But the batsmen who are playing right now and some more all-rounders are also in the team. We will try our best and bat for a long time so that we can handle that loss very well.”

Let us tell you that Sai Sudarshan was included in the playing 11 in place of Karun Nair in the Manchester Test and he scored a brilliant half-century in the first innings. Sudarshan faced 151 balls and scored 61 runs with the help of seven fours.
