The Indian team and fans would be hoping that Rishabh recovers soon and takes part in this match again but England spinner Liam Dawson has a different opinion. Dawson feels that Pant will not be able to play in this match now as his injury is quite serious.

Rishabh Pant tried a reverse sweep off the bowling of Chris Woakes and injured his leg in the process. Pant was in a lot of pain and had to be carried off the field. He also underwent scans at the nearest hospital, and the reports are awaited. The 27-year-old’s leg was badly swollen, as shown live. Pant was then carried off the field with the help of a golf-style buggy.

He received medical assistance from Team India‘s physio and then the wicketkeeper-batsman was also taken to the ground’s medical facility. Now everyone is waiting for an update on how serious Rishabh’s injury is and whether he will be able to participate in the match or not.

What did Liam Dawson say on Rishabh Pant’s injury?

“Hopefully he will be okay. The situation didn’t look too good at that time. He is a big player for them. However, I don’t think he will be able to take part in this match now.”
