In the reply innings, the Bangladeshi team looked under pressure from the beginning. Two key batsmen of the team returned to the pavilion at the score of 20. After this, Parvez Hussain Emon along with Tauhid Hridoy (58) took charge of the innings and there was a partnership of 42 runs for the third wicket between the two.
However, after this the team lost its wickets at regular intervals and by the time the total reached 124, half the team had returned to the pavilion. The Sri Lankan bowlers did not delay much after this and bowled out the entire team for 186 runs in the 40th over. In this way, Sri Lanka won the match by 99 runs. Asitha Fernando and Dushmantha Chameera took 3-3 wickets each.
