Dale Steyn parts ways with Sunrisers Eastern Cape: There are still a few months left for the fourth season of SA20 to be played in South Africa to begin, but before that the reshuffle in the teams is going on. Sunrisers Hyderabad’s franchise Eastern Cape’s performance in the league has been tremendous so far. The team managed to become champion twice in the first three seasons and was runner-up once. However, Eastern Cape has suffered a major setback before the upcoming season, as bowling coach Dale Steyn has announced his separation from the team. Veteran Dale Steyn, who made a name for himself in the cricket world with his fierce bowling, has turned to coaching after retirement. He also worked with Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL and then stayed with his franchise in SA20 for the first three seasons. However, Steyn will no longer be seen with the team in the fourth season.
Dale Steyn leaves Sunrisers Eastern Cape
On Monday evening, Dale Steyn tweeted on social media platform X and informed about his separation from Sunrisers Eastern Cape ahead of the fourth season of SA20. He wrote in his tweet,
“Thank you very much Sunrisers EC, it has been a great pleasure working with you and it is the best management/coaching staff I have ever worked with. 3 seasons and 3 finals, won twice and finished runner up once, what more can one ask for, I loved it. Best of luck to the team for season 4. Thank you and do well.”

Let us tell you that before leaving Eastern Cape, Steyn had also severed his ties with Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL. Appointed ahead of the 2022 season, Steyn decided to withdraw from IPL 2024 due to personal reasons, after which James Franklin replaced him. Now it remains to be seen who Sunrisers Eastern Cape signs as a replacement for Steyn as bowling coach.
