On 14 June 2025, Temba Bavuma’s team registered this historic victory by defeating Australia by 5 wickets in the final of the World Test Championship (WTC) 2025 at Lord’s. This is South Africa’s second ICC trophy after winning the ICC Knockout Trophy (now Champions Trophy) in 1998.
