Indian team will play intra-squad match with India A in Beckenham on June 13
ENG vs IND: Before facing England in the first Test, the Indian team will first play a four-day intra-squad match with India A in Beckenham from June 13 as part of its final preparations. The India A team is currently busy playing the second four-day unofficial Test match against England Lions in Northampton.
In this match, KL Rahul performed brilliantly in the first innings and scored a century. He scored 116 runs off 168 balls. At the same time, Rahul scored 51 runs off 64 balls in the second innings. Rahul being in such a rhythm is very good news for Team India.
The first unofficial Test match played between India A and England Lions in Canterbury was a draw. However, there were some positives for the visitors, one of which was Karun Nair’s 204 off 281 balls, which has increased his chances of making it to the playing XI for the series opener in Leeds on June 20.
Team India last won a Test series in England in 2007. In such a situation, Shubman Gill and Co. will take the field with the intention of ending the 18-year drought.
