Punjab Kings vs Mumbai Indians, Qualifier 2 Shreyas Iyer: In the Qualifier 2 of IPL 2025 played in Ahmedabad, Punjab Kings defeated Mumbai Indians by 5 wickets and made it to the final. Playing first, Mumbai team scored 203/6 in 20 overs, in response to which Punjab Kings scored 207/5 in 19 overs and won. Now in the final, Punjab will face Royal Challengers Bangalore on May 3 in Ahmedabad.

Shreyas Iyer: After losing the toss and coming to bat first, Mumbai Indians did not have a great start and opener Rohit Sharma was dismissed for 19 in the third over after scoring 8 runs. Jonny Bairstow and Tilak Verma shared a 51-run partnership for the second wicket to take the score to 70. Bairstow played an innings of 38 runs in 24 balls with the help of three fours and two sixes. Suryakumar Yadav once again batted well and scored 44 runs in 26 balls, which included four fours and three sixes.

Tilak also scored 44 runs in 29 balls. Captain Hardik Pandya scored 15 runs in 13 balls. In the last overs, Naman Dheer played some brilliant shots and contributed 37 runs in 18 balls. Raj Bawa remained unbeaten on 8 runs. Azmatullah Omarzai was the most successful bowler for Punjab Kings and took two wickets.

Chasing the target, Punjab Kings also had a bad start and Prabhsimran Singh was dismissed in the third over after scoring 6 runs. Priyansh Arya and Josh Inglis scored runs quickly, taking the score past 50 in just five overs. Priyansh scored 20 runs in 10 balls, while Inglis scored 38 runs in 21 balls, which included five fours and two sixes. From here, captain Shreyas Iyer and Nehal Wadhera took charge. Both of them made a great partnership and took the score beyond 150. Wadhera missed the half-century and was dismissed after scoring 48 runs in 29 balls.

However, Iyer remained firm till the end and played an unbeaten innings of 87 runs in 41 balls to give Punjab Kings entry into the final for the first time since 2014. Ashwini Kumar took the maximum two wickets for Mumbai Indians.
