Asia Cup 2025: Former Indian cricketer and chief selector Chris Srikkanth criticized the selection of Harshit Rana in the Asia Cup 2025 squad, in which he pointed to Harshit’s IPL performance. Srikkanth said that the selection of Harshit Rana at the expense of Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna in the team is not right. Mohammed Siraj has been performing for the team for a long time, and Krishna also won the Purple Cap in the IPL.

Asia Cup 2025: Suryakumar had said in the press conference at the time of team announcement, “I think he is doing really well in the IPL and the matches he has played for India. Srikkanth also gave his opinion on the balance of the team, and said that Washington Sundar is a better option in the team than Shivam Dubey, because recently he performed brilliantly with the ball and bat in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy.
