ENG-W vs IND-W 2nd ODI: India’s men’s cricket team had to face defeat in the Test match against England at Lord’s last week, while now the Indian women’s team has also suffered defeat in the ODI match on the same ground. Smriti Mandhana batted well but got out after scoring 42 runs in 51 balls before completing her half-century. Arundhati Reddy contributed 14 runs. Deepti Sharma played an unbeaten innings of 30 runs in 34 balls. In this way, the Indian team was successful in reaching the challenging score. Sophie Ecclestone took the maximum three wickets for England.

Chasing the target, England got a good start. The pair of Amy Jones and Tammy Beaumont shared a 54-run partnership for the first wicket. This pair was broken by Sneh Rana and Beaumont had to go to the pavilion on a personal score of 34. Captain Nat Seward-Brunt was also out after scoring 21 runs. However, Jones kept the front and along with Sophia Dunkley (9*) led her team to victory. Jones scored 46 runs in 57 balls, which included five fours.
